Yesterday, Jaysen Jorgensen launched I Ride for Project 16:49, his month-long challenge to ride his bike 1,649 miles during the month of June. That’s more than the distance from Rock County to Washington, DC, and back!
Jaysen’s riding to promote awareness of Project 16:49 and its mission to help homeless teens in Rock County. Having been homeless himself as a teenager, Jaysen knows all too well what kinds of challenges these young people face. The Beloit Daily News has an excellent article about him and what he’s doing for the cause.
Keep up with Jaysen’s progress on the I Ride For Project 16:49 page on Facebook. And please chip in to help. Even a penny a mile adds up.
