We held the drawing for the Project 16:49 classic car raffle at the 2011 Beloit Autorama at 3 PM this past Sunday. Cory Winters, one of the stars of Sixteen Forty-Nine, drew the ticket before a crowd of eager attendees. The winner — the lucky Linda Holcomb — wasn’t present, but she’s been informed of her huge win!
This raffle raised a lot of money for Project 16:49, and we’d like to thank:
- Everyone who bought a ticket! We truly appreciate your support.
- The Beloit Autorama for hosting the drawing.
- All the businesses around the county that sold tickets for the raffle, including:
- 27 West Appraisal & Estate Services
- Burtness Chevrolet
- Burtness Chevrolet
- ECHO, Inc.
- Fagan Automotive
- Finley Dencker
- Smydon Chevrolet
- Custom Copies for printing the posters and flyers.
- Jessica Schafer of ECHO for running the raffle.
We’d especially like to thank Gary Schultz for his tremendous generosity. Gary not only donated the car to the cause but also drove all the place, selling tickets and drumming up interest in the raffle. None of this would have been possible without him!
