Yesterday, Wisconsin State Superintendent Tony Evers gave Project 16:49 one of nine Friendship of Education awards given out this year during his third annual State of Education address. (See the full press release here.) This is a huge stamp of approval for the program, and both Ann Forbeck and Robin Stuht traveled to Madison to accept the award, along with two of the students featured in the film, Kayla Brown and Brandon Lucian.
